Finger painting

My mom had really done it this time!  She forced something absolutely terrible, positivity horrific upon me. She made me...

Finger Paint!!!!!!!

How dare she?  Why would someone who supposedly loves you make you partake in something so dreadful?  She says it was for "fun."  She says it was to engage my senses. I say it was never to be repeated.

First she forced me to wear an awful smock to "keep me clean"

Then she put slimey paint on the paper.

I must admit, at first I was intrigued.

But the simple fact that it was new didn't change the fact that it was near torture.

If I'm lucky we won't have a repeat of these events.

When will she get the point that I don't need to experience every. single. little. thing?!

Pumpkin Patch

I have experienced the wonderful thrill of the beauty Fall has to offer. Today I enjoyed a pumpkin patch.

And I looked amazingly cute doing it.

Have you ever experienced something new?  Something exciting?  Something so joyous you can't even wrap your head around it?

Well I have. It was amazing. Touching pumpkins...

Exploring with my friend...

And sampling the leaves.

I even got my very own pumpkin...just my size.

The fun didn't even stop there!  We watched a cow get milked (why anyone would drink milk from a cow is beyond me!)

And some big kids gave this calf milk from a bottle. I refused to partake since the thought of bottles makes me scream.

I got up close and personal with some more cows. They didn't mooooove very fast.

Of all the new experiences, petting a baby "dut" was my favorite!

Even Eli was gentle with it.

I thought I better check out the big ducks...see what my buddy would become.

People always rave about the Kentucky Derby, but I'm telling you, they are misinformed. Pig racing is where it is! Mind you've never been to a pig race, I feel very sad for you. I tested out my cheer-leading skills.

And cheered with all my might!

Finally, as if I haven't already had enough new experiences, I got to play in the sand. I promise, I didn't even taste it. Okay, maybe just one small piece of sand, just to see what it was like. Okay, okay...it was just one mouthful. Fine!! I had two handfuls!  I liked it, okay?!  Don't judge!

I had a little relaxing to do before we left, so I did a little swinging.

Bye, Y'all!

Park Fun

I love the park...

And I hate to leave.

Play and Doh

I have spent this week expanding my mind, Dear Readers. Everyone knows reading is an essential part of developing one's brain. Unlike most people my age, I take this task very seriously. I absorb knowledge with my whole body.

Because my brain needs stimulation, Mom took me to the zoo again. I think I'm finally mature enough to actually enjoy the animals. Ah, who am I kidding? I've always been mature beyond my age.

We got up close and personal with a few animals.

I'm also officially old enough to enjoy the park. I practiced my "getting off the couch" skills on this bridge.

And I humored Dad by letting him take me down the slide. Numerous times.

Mom thought I was in need of some good old fashioned sensory play, so we got out the play doh and got busy!  I tasted it and wasn't a fan.
But that didn't keep me from tasting it over and over.

Once I got my fill of the disgusting stuff, I could sink my hands in!

Illinois again

I have recently returned from yet another trip to Illinois. It's rather unfortunate that the drive takes so long. Especially now that I don't enjoy naps in the car.

On a happier note, I had a great time visiting family!  My big cousins were so much fun!  I'm learning all kinds of good things from the boys.

Like, vegetables are just as yummy frozen.

And it is actually not okay to try and run babies over with 4-wheelers.

And swords are really the only way to pop bubbles.

I learned that if you ask nicely that sometimes your elders will give you a lift.

And that bath time is not just for getting clean, but also for having fun.

And sometimes you just gotta let the wind blow through your hair.

I learned that sometimes people will take things from you...

But there are good people who protect you (and feed you the stolen Cheerios so you can get some)

After observing the boys, I learned to help myself.

And that chicks dig a guy in a truck.

I also learned that Mimi is very talented.

And that I'm very lucky.

In addition to fun with those boys, I also enjoyed the company of many other family members. Like my cousin Laerin.

And my great-great grandpa Rodger (who let me eat his tomatoes and his cup. I enjoyed the cup more).

I also got to see one of my favorite dogs, Ranger. He helped me clean my hand n

I was sad to leave

But happy to go home

The whole trip was absolutely exhausting.
