Mom discovered that the bread had a rip down the entire side. So, what does one do with a seemingly useless load of bread? Why feed the birds, of course! In her attempt to entertain me and offer me adventures (of which I'm too young to appreciate), we loaded up the stroller and bread and took off for the park.
Mom, Dad, and I celebrated a very special anniversary and birthday today. Mom and dad have been married for five years and I am exactly seven months old. They took me out to eat for my birthday. Very kind of them! I discovered that I have a new favorite food. Watch how I thank my mom for sharing with me.
And as an added bonus, my ever-forgetful mother forgot to upload this video on a previous post. Enjoy.
I realize that I have neglected my blog and that it's turning into the (ish) of daily, but as far as excuses go, I have the best one. I've been sick. With a cough and runny nose bad enough to send my mom calling the doctor. Not to worry, he said I'm just fine. I'm also cutting my third tooth! To make me feel better Mom made me a teething biscuit.
It was well worth the 2 minutes it took her to make it! Yummy!!
Mom and I have had boring days at home this week. Other then the doctor and the park we haven't done much of anything. She did take me to the store to buy special Father's Day supplies. I got to ride in the cart for the first time! I'm pretty much all grown up now.
This morning Mom left us boys alone in the house for a bit. Now, you may not know this, but my mom is seriously overprotective. Like, seriously. She also has no life outside of me (and can you blame her?!). So, a combination of three two things has resulted in her only leaving me a few times to go to the dentist or run to the store. I mean, I love the lady, but goodness!! Enough is enough already!! Dad and I were both happy that she gave us some alone time while she went to boring garage sales. Dad? Now that guy sure knows how to have fun! He laid my toy boxes over and let me pull everything out. That's true love right there.
I decided to climb on in to make sure there were no toys hiding in the far corners of the box.
We also played the guitar together. He could use some practice. But, man, did I sound good...
Later on we went to Rib Fest. "What is 'Rib Fest'?" you ask... Basically, it's a bunch of country lovin' carnivores getting together and eating enough meat to make T-Rex nervous.
I rest my case.
On the bright side, I got to enjoy a pepsi. Funny, it reminds me a lot of plastic. I don't know what possesses people to chew on this.
We were also able to enjoy the musical stylings of Phil Vassar. I don't really remember much of his show...
Since I'm a male, I find burping to be the funniest sound one can make (aside from a toot, that is). I usually pride myself on being a serious person, so I'm not very free with my laughs. It irritates me when someone makes me use energy to laugh, so I sure paid Dad back in the end!
Today I had a memorable play date with my older cousin. She is teaching me the ways of the world since she is so much older than me.
She is teaching me all kinds of great things. For example, how to take most of the toys out of the toy boxes and never even play with them (as you can see from the background of our picture).
Unfortunately for me, while she is wise to the world, she is a little crazy and is unable to tell the difference between a cat and a baby. The darn girl kept petting me and calling me "tat"!!
Lucky for her I still love her enough to let her give me hugs. Our moms thought is was "sweet". I thought it was simply uncomfortable.
Every Wednesday (or at least the Wednesdays that my mom can drag herself out if bed in time) Mom and I go to mommy/baby class. Now, just to be clear, I don't really learn anything. I'm pretty sure it's just a way for my mom to sit around and talk to other moms. Today we ventured out to class.
My friend used me as a tool to roll himself over. I don't really mind too much because he was kind enough to give me a hug following his success.
In case there was any question, I'm kind of a ladies man. Goodness, the chicks really dig me; especially the older girls. Who can blame them really? Have you *seen* me?! The class is full of boys all fighting over the attention of the one, lone girl. She must have not enjoyed the other boys' attention because she went back to her mom.
Now that most of us are crawling/scooting/rolling around, this class has gotten a lot more fun! Our moms seem to really enjoy themselves too since they don't have to just sit there anymore... They get to get up and move the whole class!
My mom and dad took me to the library tonight. Who knew the library could be so much fun?!
I get awfully sick of my mom taking my picture all the time. I try to not let it show.
After enjoying the tiger, I decided to read a book.
My mom got a lot of books.
I wonder why she needs help sleeping at night...at least she's not waking me up with her apparent lack of sleep.
As you may know, I'm a baby - strictly in the "time-on-earth" sense of the word. Because I spend my free time reading and listening to the adults talk, I have concluded that there are four seasons. Unfortunately, as this is my first year here (refer to the first statement), I haven't experienced the summer season. I must say, reading and hearing about summer could never have prepared me for the enjoyment of today! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, my first day of summer (my mom would like me to clarify that it is still spring, and it just "feels like" summer).
Apparently in summer you get to have picnics over Dad's lunch break (ignore the gross looking apple)
And you get to play in the park
One thing that stays the same is that we get to take a walk every evening. Tonight's walk was especially productive.
I have decided to take my blogging to this site in hopes that my mom can upload videos! I was devastated to learn that she was unsuccessful at sharing cute, I mean, masculine videos of me on the previous blog. Because of that set back, I've taken over, as she is obviously not a good fit for my blog. I plan to update this blog every day or so… I'm very, very busy so I make absolutely no promises.
Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, let's get down to business. You know, videos and pictures. Let 's face it, that's the real reason you visit my blog in the first place. Lucky for you, Dear Reader, I'm happy to share.
We just returned from a week-long trip to the happiest place on earth. Yes, I did have a great time, but my grandparents could have saved themselves some money and just taken me to the park. My favorite part was getting to take all of my naps on my parents. That, my friends, is how you work the system.
Since we got home, I went to the zoo,
(And was denied a delicious ice cream cone)
The park,
(And learned the utter enjoyment one can have when you let your inner child out to play)
And started learning a new trick
Now that you're impressed, I must be going. Always leave them wanting more.
